Prolepsis Institute invites you to a 4-day training Workshop for professionals working on health care provision for migrant and refugee children including unaccompanied minors. The event is organized in the context of the European program
EU-VET CARE "Strengthening capacities for better health care to refugee and migrant children", from Monday 28
th of June 2021 (10:00 - 13:00 CET) to Thursday 1
st of July (10:00 - 14:00 CET). The training event will be focusing on professionals who provide care to refugee and migrant children, including unaccompanied minors, i.e., physicians, psychologists, social workers, cultural mediators, and other relevant professionals.
The training event will cover issues related to the health of migrant & refugee children and will be delivered through 10 interdisciplinary and specialized modules. Interdisciplinary modules will be taught on the first 3 days and will focus on legal framework and protocols for children, methods of interdisciplinary collaboration, intercultural competence, health literacy skills and cultural sensitivity, communication issues, as well as burnout and stress management issues. On the last day of the seminar, the specialized modules will be delivered with training being divided into thematic subjects for psychologists, physicians, cultural mediators, and social workers. Training will focus respectively on how to manage mental health issues, health needs for migrant and refugee children, health terminology skills, and trauma recognition and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

The training event is organized by Prolepsis Institute in collaboration with Faros and the active participation of the EU-VET CARE consortium partners. It will be carried out online, through the Zoom platform and participation is free of charge.
Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance upon completion of the training.
